I've been playing online bingo games quite a lot recently. I first got into it a couple of weeks back when I was stuck in the house ill with flu - I was surprised by how easy it was to get started, and, even better, I got a generous sign-up bonus as well (which I actually won some money with - result)!
It's really simple and great fun. You can chat to other players online while you play bingo, and everyone is very friendly and quick to welcome newcomers and help them out if they're unsure of what they're doing. I'm a regular now, and I've already had a fair few wins, but it's really the social side that I go for - there's some great banter in the chat rooms!

Enjoying the magic of theatre at Christmas
I've begun to notice signs of Christmas around the city streets. Decorations are going up in stores and around town, billboards for Christmas theatre productions sugest pantomime season is just around the corner. I used to enjoy a good pantomime, but with no children of suitable age in the family it is a tradition that has passed me by for a good few years.
Instead I take in a good play at Christmas and keep the tradition of winter theatregoing alive. The magic of theatre is a joy at any time of year, but there is something about going to the theatre wrapped in your finest winter woollens, having a few drinks and enjoying a show with family and friends then coming out into streets glowing with Christmas lights.
The West End always puts on an incredible array of shows at Christmas.

A leisurely stroll in the hills kitted out in the right country clothing
I live surrounded by beautiful Scottish scenery and well-known walker's routes. However, I'm not much for this type of outdoor activity. A surprisingly large number of friends and acquaintances enjoy hill-walking, whereas - for me - going somewhere and coming back purely for the sake of the journey seems rather pointless.
With that said, I do enjoy the time spent with friends who do enjoy taking to the hills, just as long as I'm kitted out in the right country clothing. The proper country attire can make the difference between a highly enjoyable days walking or an uncomfortable trek in the wind or rain, or even sunshine.
I think that may be the reason that I never particularly enjoyed the hill walking experience - without proper country clothes, I was forever catching colds.

Stag weekends in Perth - saying goodbye to single life
If you or one of your friends is about to wave single life goodbye, you should have a great farewell party.
A stag weekend in Perth is just one way to do this. You will be able to take part in a huge selection of fun activities during the day, from paintball and clay pigeon shooting to white water rafting and quad biking.
During a recent stag party for one of my friends we ganged up on the unsuspecting groom-to-be during paintball, leaving him literally covered in painted. Of course this was all forgiven over a few drinks.
There are more genteel options available for stag nights - such as here.
However, I think I'll always prefer the traditional stag party - click here to find out more about it.

A theatre break is perfect just now as the society of London theatre reports on booming West End attendance
A leisure break is usually on the card about this time of year. The clocks change and all of a sudden winter is here, the dark nights too mean that feeling blue is very much a daily occurrence.
But, not to worry, if you take a break to beat back the blues and refresh the batteries ahead of Christmas. However, the trick this year has been not to spend unnecessary cash while we're in the grip of recession. So, I'll be taking my holiday in London and do a bit of theatregoing instead of more far flung (warmer) destinations.
The society of London theatre has reported that theatre is booming just now and I'm not surprised with all the amazing shows that are scheduled over the winter theatre season in London. The West End always puts a smile on my face and it'll do just the trick this winter until I can get way for some sun next year.
